I have some bad news…

Earlier this week, some bad news broke out…

“The African Entertainment Awards which was scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 26 due to unforeseen events, will be postponed until October 2017.”

It was a little saddening to hear at first since we were all geared up for the highly anticipated event for this Saturday. especially since it is the first time I have been nominated for an award. But, we cannot worry! This means that there will be more time for voting, more time for planning and more time for me to figure out what I will wear (which will certainly be designed by Sadi Johnson of Phresh Empire)!

Please note: “Those of you who bought tickets in advance will have your tickets upgraded to VIP and will receive VIP access to the AEA afterparty.”

If you cannot make it to the show in October, there are plenty of shows coming up!

August 27th @ 4pm | Afro-Carib Festival | Albert Campbell Square | Scarborough, Ontario
August 30th @ 8pm | Sounds of the City | Supermarket | Toronto, Ontario
September 3rd @ 7pm | A World Away Concert | Daniel Spectrum | Toronto, Ontario

Speaking of what to wear… African Fashion Week 2017 was an absolute hit with Sadi Johnson taking home the award for Student Designer of the year and Jimi Loboi taking home Male Model of the year! Sadi Johnson designed all of the clothing and Jimi Loboi was the lead male actor for the music video for “You & Me”! Check out the video to see their skills!

I love you all for your support this year! You have all been so amazing! ❤
